It is the 30th anniversary
of biker days in the great Osage! I have got to be a part of 17 of
them! where has the time gone! but what a run! it is the oldest
biker party in the state that I know of! and over the last 17 years I have
watched black beards turn to gray and gray beards turn snow white! I have
watched some kids grow up and join the party! I have been
privileged to make many new friends here but I have lost several in
that time too! Donny, Smokie, Bruno, and more! some I met there but
saw other places some I only saw here! I want to talk about what a great
party this is but cant do that with out talking about some of the people
that helped make it great! none were perfect but they were brothers at
heart! I'm sad when I think about those we lost but happy that I have
those that are still with us! there is a whole bunch of people

I should list here that help to make this party great! some
are part of the staff others guests! but as sure as I did I
would miss some! I have included pic of some of them but others prefer to
stay in the shadows or not be photographed! some are there every time
others miss once in a while because of other commitments! those
are missed when they are not there! ok back to the beginning I took off
from the house early for me I was out the door and on the road before 1pm!
the weather was awesome no rain in the forecast for the whole weekend warm
riding weather who could ask for more!

well I could ask
for one thing! a better economy! I knew a lot of folks would miss this
occasion because money is tight well anyway I took my time and enjoyed the
ride! I have no idea how may times I have traveled these same roads but
the scenery is always breathtaking when the weather cooperates! from open
fields of wheat or plowed depending on the time of year but also
open fields of grass with whole herds of cattle or horses! green grass or
brown it changes depending on the time of year! I have even seem
some of it under water! I digress but it is part of what makes me a biker!
I rolled into the camp ground about 3:30 to hugs from a couple of the
brothers and sisters of the staff!

after I got done checking in i headed up to my usual
spot! it is kind of funny I have camped on the same piece of real-estate
for 17 years the road is much better and there are a lot fewer rocks, more
grass and there is now a light on the corner! it is a short distance from
CMA and even shorter distance form the porta-pottys! but more importantly
brothers and sisters there too! I was not quite done with setting up camp
when I got a visit from an old friend who had not been there for 4 years!
The kid had returned to reclaim his title as slow race champ! so much for
me winning gas money home! haha after finishing up camp I grabbed my
camera and headed out to take pic!
